4And warne thou the people, saying, Ye shall go through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir, and they shall be afraide of you: take ye good heede therefore.

4And I gaue vnto Izhak, Iaakob and Esau: and I gaue vnto Esau mount Seir, to possesse it: but Iaakob and his children went downe into Egypt.
17I pray thee that we may passe through thy countrey: we will not goe through the fieldes nor the vineyardes, neither will we drinke of the water of the welles: we will goe by the kings way, and neither turne vnto the right hand nor to the left, vntill we be past thy borders.
18And Edom answered him, Thou shalt not passe by mee, least I come out against thee with the sword.
7Thus will I make mount Seir desolate and waste, and cut off from it him that passeth out & him that returneth.
20Hee answered againe, Thou shalt not goe through. The Edom came out against him with much people, and with a mightie power.
21Thus Edom denyed to giue Israel passage through his countrey: wherefore Israel turned away from him.
18And Edom shalbe possessed, and Seir shall be a possession to their enemies: but Israel shal do valiantly.
7For their riches were so great, that they could not dwell together, and the lande, wherein they were strangers, coulde not receiue them because of their flockes.
8Therefore dwelt Esau in mount Seir: this Esau is Edom.
6Ye shall buy meate of them for money to eate, and ye shall also procure water of them for money to drinke.
9And Esau said, I haue ynough, my brother: keepe that thou hast to thy selfe.

2Sonne of man, Set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesie against it,

12Also I will giue the lande, which I gaue to Abraham and Izhak, vnto thee: and vnto thy seede after thee will I giue that land.
8Beholde, I haue set the land before you: go in and possesse that land which the Lorde sware vnto your fathers, Abraham, Izhak, and Iaakob, to giue vnto them and to their seede after them.
15As thou diddest reioyce at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I doe vnto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea wholly, & they shall know, that I am the Lord.
14Thou shalt not remooue thy neighbours marke, which they of olde time haue set in thine inheritance, that thou shalt inherite in the lande, which ye Lorde thy God giueth thee to possesse it.
19And they shall possesse the South side of the mount of Esau, and the plaine of the Philistims: and they shall possesse the fieldes of Ephraim, and the fieldes of Samaria, and Beniamin shall haue Gilead.
3O my mountaine in the fielde, I will giue thy substance, and all thy treasures to be spoyled, for the sinne of thy high places throughout all thy borders.
5For thou entrest not to inherite their lande for thy righteousnesse, or for thy vpright heart: but for the wickednesse of those nations, the Lord thy God doth cast them out before thee, and that he might performe the worde which the Lord thy God sware vnto thy fathers, Abraham, Izhak, and Iacob.
10For I haue discouered Esau: I haue vncouered his secrets, and he shall not be able to hide himselfe: his seede is wasted, and his brethren and his neighbours, and there shall be none to say,
32Thou shalt make no couenant with them, nor with their gods:
5And hee gaue him none inheritance in it, no, not the bredth of a foote: yet he promised that he would giue it to him for a possession, and to his seede after him, when as yet hee had no childe.
15Then Esau said, I will leaue then some of my folke with thee; he answered, what needeth this? let me finde grace in the sight of my lorde.
17Arise, walke through the land, in ye length thereof, and breadth thereof: for I will giue it vnto thee.
52Thou shalt therefore see the lande before thee, but shalt not go thither, I meane, into the land which I giue the children of Israel.
6And the Horites in their mount Seir, vnto the plaine of Paran, which is by the wildernesse.
