16 And the thirde day, when it was morning, there was thunders and lightnings, and a thicke cloude vpon the mount, and the sounde of the trumpet exceeding loude, so that all the people, that was in the campe, was afrayde.
17 Then Moses brought the people out of the tents to meete with God, and they stoode in the nether part of the mount.
18 And mount Sinai was all on smoke, because the Lorde came downe vpon it in fire, and the smoke therof ascended, as the smoke of a fornace, and all the mount trembled exceedingly.

15 Take therefore good heede vnto your selues: for ye sawe no image in the day that the Lord spake vnto you in Horeb out of the middes of the fire:
2 And be ready in ye morning, that thou mayest come vp earely vnto the mount of Sinai, and waite there for me in the top of the mount.
3 But let no man come vp with thee, neither let any man be seene throughout all the mount, neyther let the sheepe nor cattell feede before this mount.
12 At the brightnes of his presence his clouds passed, haylestones and coles of fire.
4 The Lord talked with you face to face in the Mount, out of the middes of the fire.
5 (At that time I stoode betweene the Lorde and you, to declare vnto you ye word of the Lord: for ye were afraid at the sight of the fire, and went not vp into the mount, and he said,
36 Out of heauen hee made thee heare his voyce to instruct thee, and vpon earth he shewed thee his great fire, and thou heardest his voyce out of the middes of the fire.
16 According to al that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb, in the day of the assemblie, when thou saidest, Let me heare the voice of my Lorde God no more, nor see this great fire any more, that I die not.
21 So the people stoode afarre off, but Moses drew neere vnto the darkenes where God was.
4 Ye haue not yet resisted vnto blood, striuing against sinne.
5 And ye haue forgotten the consolation, which speaketh vnto you as vnto children, My sonne, despise not the chastening of the Lord, neither faint when thou art rebuked of him.
8 Also in Horeb ye prouoked the Lorde to anger so that the Lord was wroth with you, euen to destroy you.
17 And the sight of the glorie of the Lorde was like consuming fire on the top of the moutaine, in the eyes of the children of Israel.
18 And Moses entred into the middes of the cloude, and went vp to the mountaine: and Moses was in the mount fourtie dayes and fourty nightes.
15 So I returned, and came downe from the Mount (and the Mount burnt with fire, and ye two Tables of the couenant were in my two handes)

24 And the Lord sayd vnto him, Go, get thee downe, and come vp, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the Priestes and the people breake their boundes to come vp vnto the Lord, least he destroy them.
13 And we are not as Moses, which put a vaile vpon his face, that the children of Israel should not looke vnto the ende of that which should be abolished.
27 But a fearefull looking for of iudgement, and violent fire, which shall deuoure the aduersaries.
11 And he saide, Come out, and stand vpon the mount before the Lorde; beholde, the Lorde went by, and a mightie strong winde rent the mountaines, and brake the rockes before the Lord: but the Lord was not in the winde: and after the wind came an earthquake: but the Lord was not in the earthquake:
12 And after the earthquake came fire: but the Lorde was not in the fire: and after the fire came a still and soft voyce.
17 These are welles without water, and cloudes caried about with a tempest, to whome the blacke darkenes is reserued for euer.
22 Neyther shal the children of Israel any more come neere the Tabernacle of the Congregation, lest they susteine sinne, and die.
6 The Lord our God spake vnto vs in Horeb, saying, Ye haue dwelt long ynough in this mount,
43 And when I told you, ye would not heare, but rebelled against the commaundement of the Lord, and were presumptuous, and went vp into the mountaine.
18 Ye also are turned away this day from the Lord: and seeing ye rebell to day against ye Lord, euen to morowe he will be wroth with all the Congregation of Israel.
