11But nowe, I wil not intreate the residue of this people as aforetime, saith the Lord of hostes.

8Goe vp to the mountaine, & bring wood, and build this House, and I wil be fauourable in it, and I will be glorified, sayth the Lord.
9Thus sayth the Lorde of hostes, Let your hands be strong, ye that heare in these dayes these words by the mouth of the Prophets, which were in the day, that the foundation of the House of the Lord of hostes was laide, that the Temple might be builded.
8Euen this hie house shall bee so: euery one that passeth by it, shalbe astonied, and shall hisse, and they shal say, Why hath the Lord done thus vnto this land and to this house?
12O yee heauens, be astonied at this: bee afraid and vtterly confounded, sayeth the Lord.

3(2:4) Who is left among you, that sawe this House in her first glory, and howe doe you see it nowe? is it not in your eyes, in comparison of it as nothing?
4(2:5) Yet nowe be of good courage, O Zerubbabel, sayth the Lord, and be of good comfort, O Iehoshua, sonne of Iehozadak the hie Priest: and be strong, all ye people of the land, sayth the Lorde, and doe it: for I am with you, sayth the Lord of hostes,
8Moreouer, the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
9The handes of Zerubbabel haue layde the foundation of this house: his handes shall also finish it, and thou shalt knowe that the Lorde of hostes hath sent me vnto you.
10For who hath despised the day of the small thinges? but they shall reioyce, and shall see the stone of tinne in the hand of Zerubbabel: these seuen are the eyes of the Lord, which go thorow the whole world.
14Therefore behold, I wil againe doe a marueilous worke in this people, euen a marueilous worke, and a wonder: for the wisdome of their wise men shall perish, and the vnderstanding of their prudent men shalbe hid.
17Cry yet, and speake, Thus saith the Lord of hostes, My cities shall yet be broken with plentie: the Lord shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet chuse Ierusalem.
6(2:7) For thus sayth the Lorde of hostes, Yet a litle while, and I will shake the heauens and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land:
38Behold, the dayes come, saith the Lord, that the citie shalbe built to the Lord from the tower of Hananeel, vnto the gate of the corner.

7Therefore thus sayth the Lorde of hostes, Behold, I wil melt them, & trie them: for what should I els do for the daughter of my people?

18Beholde, I and the children whome the Lorde hath giuen me, are as signes and as wonders in Israel, by the Lord of hostes, which dwelleth in mount Zion.
3And death shall bee desired rather then life of all the residue that remaineth of this wicked familie, which remaine in all the places where I haue scattered them, sayeth the Lorde of hostes.
4Thou shalt say vnto them also, Thus sayeth the Lorde, Shall they fall and not arise? shall he turne away and not turne againe?
5And your eyes shall see it, and yee shall say, The Lorde will be magnified vpon the border of Israel.
19For thus saith the Lord of hostes, concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that remaine in this citie,
8Wherfore the wrath of the Lord hath bin on Iudah and Ierusalem: and he hath made them a scattering, a desolation, and an hissing, as ye see with your eyes.
12Thus sayth the Lorde of hostes, Againe in this place, which is desolate, without man, & without beast, and in all the cities thereof there shall be dwelling for shepheards to rest their flockes.
10And when thou shalt shewe this people all these wordes, & they shal say vnto thee, Wherefore hath the Lorde pronounced all this great plague against vs? or what is our iniquitie? and what is our sinne that we haue committed against the Lord our God?
14Beholde, the dayes come, sayth the Lorde, that I wil performe that good thing, which I haue promised vnto the house of Israel, & to the house of Iudah.
9Thus sayeth the Lorde of hostes, They shall gather as a vine, the residue of Israel: turne backe thine hande as the grape gatherer into the baskets.
4Then came the word of the Lord of hostes vnto me, saying,
17And they shall be to me, sayeth the Lord of hostes, in that day that I shal do this, for a flocke, and I will spare them, as a man spareth his owne sonne that serueth him.
8Beholde, the eyes of the Lord God are vpon the sinfull kingdome, and I will destroy it cleane out of the earth. Neuerthelesse I will not vtterly destroy the house of Iaakob, saith the Lord.
13Beholde, is it not of the Lorde of hostes that the people shal labour in ye very fire? the people shall euen weary themselues for very vanitie.
16And if they will learne the wayes of my people, to sweare by my Name, ( The Lord liueth, as they taught my people to sweare by Baal) then shall they be built in the middes of my people.
