1¶ Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and [his] doctrine be not blasphemed.
2And they that have believing masters, let them not despise [them], because they are brethren; but rather do [them] service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

32Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I [am] the LORD.
21¶ Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
13And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. [And] be at peace among yourselves.
5¶ Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all [of you] be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
2¶ The fear of a king [is] as the roaring of a lion: [whoso] provoketh him to anger sinneth [against] his own soul.

21¶ My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: [and] meddle not with them that are given to change:
22Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, [see that ye] love one another with a pure heart fervently:
9And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
17Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that [is] unprofitable for you.
9[Exhort] servants to be obedient unto their own masters, [and] to please [them] well in all [things]; not answering again;
17Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
