30For we know him that hath said, Vengeance [belongeth] unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
6Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
19Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
5But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
11For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, [what] clearing of yourselves, yea, [what] indignation, yea, [what] fear, yea, [what] vehement desire, yea, [what] zeal, yea, [what] revenge! In all [things] ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
10¶ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
13¶ Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
8But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
11Now therefore perform the doing [of it]; that as [there was] a readiness to will, so [there may be] a performance also out of that which ye have.
15And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.
10For God [is] not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
11And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
9[Exhort] servants to be obedient unto their own masters, [and] to please [them] well in all [things]; not answering again;
35Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
27But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
6That no [man] go beyond and defraud his brother in [any] matter: because that the Lord [is] the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
12Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
7To execute vengeance upon the heathen, [and] punishments upon the people;
6¶ Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
3Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:
4But in all [things] approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
1¶ Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
28And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
16As free, and not using [your] liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
2For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;
7¶ Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he [is] Christ's, even so [are] we Christ's.
13Now for a recompence in the same, (I speak as unto [my] children,) be ye also enlarged.
19For your obedience is come abroad unto all [men]. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.
20For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour [you], if a man take [of you], if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face.
15¶ Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
6Sufficient to such a man [is] this punishment, which [was inflicted] of many.
22Servants, obey in all things [your] masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
10He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
9Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
