1¶ And David spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day [that] the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:

28And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.

1¶ So when David was old and full of days, he made Solomon his son king over Israel.
26Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.
1¶ Now the days of David drew nigh that he should die; and he charged Solomon his son, saying,
16¶ And it came to pass, when David had made an end of speaking these words unto Saul, that Saul said, [Is] this thy voice, my son David? And Saul lifted up his voice, and wept.
14And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD'S anointed?
15And David called one of the young men, and said, Go near, [and] fall upon him. And he smote him that he died.
16And David said unto him, Thy blood [be] upon thy head; for thy mouth hath testified against thee, saying, I have slain the LORD'S anointed.
17¶ And David lamented with this lamentation over Saul and over Jonathan his son:
10¶ Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed [be] thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.

17¶ David also commanded all the princes of Israel to help Solomon his son, [saying],
22And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the [son] of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
9¶ And David said to Saul, Wherefore hearest thou men's words, saying, Behold, David seeketh thy hurt?
29Men [and] brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
3Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.
20I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
34And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, [now] no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies of David.
4And he said, Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel, who hath with his hands fulfilled [that] which he spake with his mouth to my father David, saying,
18Now then do [it]: for the LORD hath spoken of David, saying, By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel out of the hand of the Philistines, and out of the hand of all their enemies.
12¶ Now David [was] the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehemjudah, whose name [was] Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men [for] an old man in the days of Saul.
7And Nathan said to David, Thou [art] the man. Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;

2How he sware unto the LORD, [and] vowed unto the mighty [God] of Jacob;
50Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.
32¶ And king David said, Call me Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada. And they came before the king.
20And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the LORD, and the king.
26And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou spakest unto thy servant David my father.
12And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.
1¶ Then David said, This [is] the house of the LORD God, and this [is] the altar of the burnt offering for Israel.
10David said furthermore, [As] the LORD liveth, the LORD shall smite him; or his day shall come to die; or he shall descend into battle, and perish.
15According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
58And Saul said to him, Whose son [art] thou, [thou] young man? And David answered, I [am] the son of thy servant Jesse the Bethlehemite.
27For by the last words of David the Levites [were] numbered from twenty years old and above:
23Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established for ever, and do as thou hast said.
17And Saul knew David's voice, and said, [Is] this thy voice, my son David? And David said, [It is] my voice, my lord, O king.
17According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.
7Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, [even] from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel:
3So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a league with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.
52Blessed [be] the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
