And when the king's decree which he shall make shall be published throughout all his empire, (for it is great,) all the wiv shall give to their husbands honour, both to great and small.

    15What shall we do unto the queen Vashti according to law, because she hath not performed the commandment of the king Ahasuerus by the chamberlains?

    16And Memucan answered before the king and the princ, Vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only, but also to all the princ, and to all the people that are in all the provinc of the king Ahasuerus.

    17For this deed of the queen shall come abroad unto all women, so that they shall dpise their husbands in their ey, when it shall be reported, The king Ahasuerus commanded Vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not.

    18Likewise shall the ladi of Persia and Media say this day unto all the king's princ, which have heard of the deed of the queen. Thus shall there arise too much contempt and wrath.

    19If it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Med, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal tate unto another that is better than she.

  • 8Also he gave him the copy of the writing of the decree that was given at Shushan to dtroy them, to shew it unto ther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, to make supplication unto him, and to make requt before him for her people.

  • 21And I, even I Artaxerxes the king, do make a decree to all the treasurers which are beyond the river, that whatsoever a the priest, the scribe of the law of the God of heaven, shall require of you, it be done speedily,

  • 11All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinc, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king the thirty days.

  • 3Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law.

  • 15Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.

  • 10Now the queen, by reason of the words of the king and his lords, came into the banquet house: and the queen spake and said, O king, live for ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed:

  • 2And all the king's servants, that were in the king's gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence.

  • 14The copy of the writing for a commandment to be given in every province was published unto all people, that they should be ready against that day.

  • 5Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto ther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst prume in his heart to do so?

  • 7And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour,

  • 6And the king said unto ther at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy requt? even to the half of the kingdom it shall be performed.
