9For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name?
21And the people said unto hua, Nay; but we will serve the LORD.
22And hua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses.

9And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.
10For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.
32And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness the LORD shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.
8And the LORD said unto hua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.
6Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.
9Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.
21And I command Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest.
11Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit.
14And ye answered me, and said, The thing which thou hast spoken is good for us to do.
15And hua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation sware unto them.
3And ye have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto all these nations because of you; for the LORD your God is he that hath fought for you.
