1

To the chief Musician{H8764)}, Altaschith{H8686)}, A Psalm or Song of Asaph. Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks{H8689)}, unto thee do we give thanks{H8689)}: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works{H8737)} declare{H8765)}.

2

When I shall receive{H8799)} the congregation I will judge{H8799)} uprightly.

3

The earth and all the inhabitants{H8802)} thereof are dissolved{H8737)}: I bear up{H8765)} the pillars of it. Selah.

4

I said{H8804)} unto the fools{H8802)}, Deal not foolishly{H8799)}: and to the wicked, Lift not up{H8686)} the horn:

5

Lift not up{H8686)} your horn on high: speak{H8762)} not with a stiff neck.

6

For promotion{H8687)}{H8676)} cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

7

But God is the judge{H8802)}: he putteth down{H8686)} one, and setteth up{H8686)} another.

8

For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red{H8804)}; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out{H8686)} of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out{H8799)}, and drink{H8799)} them.

9

But I will declare{H8686)} for ever; I will sing praises{H8762)} to the God of Jacob.

10

All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off{H8762)}; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted{H8783)}.
