7And he took a yoke of oxen, and cut them in pieces, and sent them throughout all the territories of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, "Whosoever does not come after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done to his oxen." And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent.
12And David went and took the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from the men of Jabeshgilead, who had stolen them from the street of Bethshan, where the Philistines had hanged them, when the Philistines killed Saul in Gilboa:
13And he brought up the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son from there; and they gathered the bones of those who were hanged.
14And they buried the bones of Saul and Jonathan his son in the country of Benjamin in Zelah, in the tomb of Kish his father; and they carried out all that the king commanded. And after that, God was entreated for the land.
11When Saul and all Israel heard the words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid.

3Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had mourned him and buried him in Ramah, in his own city. And Saul had expelled those with familiar spirits and the wizards from the land.
4The Philistines assembled and camped in Shunem, and Saul gathered all Israel together, and they camped in Gilboa.
12And they mourned, and wept, and fasted until evening, for Saul, and for Jonathan his son, and for the people of the LORD, and for the house of Israel; because they had fallen by the sword.

15And all the people went to Gilgal, and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal, and there they sacrificed peace offerings before the LORD, and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.
10And David arose and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath.
