9And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people:

20And Ahab said to Elijah, Have you found me, O my enemy? And he answered, I have found you: because you have sold yourself to work evil in the sight of the LORD.
25Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Pick him up, and throw him in the plot of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how, when I and you rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD uttered this oracle against him;
26Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, says the LORD; and I will pay you back in this plot, says the LORD. Now, therefore, take and throw him into the plot of ground, according to the word of the LORD.
27But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu pursued him, and said, Strike him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo and died there.
27And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he tore his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly.
28And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,
29Do you see how Ahab humbles himself before me? Because he humbles himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days; but in his son's days will I bring the evil upon his house.

22And will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the provocation with which you have provoked me to anger, and made Israel to sin.

24The one who dies of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and the one who dies in the field the birds of the air shall eat.
25But there was none like Ahab, who sold himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.

1And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah, his youngest son, king in his place, for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had killed all the older sons. So Ahaziah, the son of Jehoram king of Judah, reigned.
