And it came to pass, that in the fifth year of King Rehoboam, Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, because they had transgressed against the LORD,

9So Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem and took away the treasures of the house of the LORD and the treasures of the king's house; he took all; he carried away also the shields of gold which Solomon had made.
10In their place, King Rehoboam made shields of brass and committed them to the hands of the chief of the guard, who kept the entrance of the king's house.
11And whenever the king entered the house of the LORD, the guard came and fetched them and brought them back into the guard chamber.
12And when he humbled himself, the wrath of the LORD turned from him, that he would not destroy him completely; and also conditions improved in Judah.

21And when Rehoboam came to Jerusalem, he assembled all the house of Judah with the tribe of Benjamin, a hundred and eighty thousand chosen men, who were warriors, to fight against the house of Israel, to bring the kingdom back to Rehoboam the son of Solomon.
22But the word of God came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,
7For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, who had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods.

16And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David; and Abijah his son reigned in his place.
28And it was so, when the king went into the house of the LORD, that the guard carried them, and brought them back into the guard chamber.
