14Behold, there came fire down from heaven and burned up the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties; therefore, let my life now be precious in your sight.
15And the angel of the LORD said to Elijah, Go down with him; do not be afraid of him. So he arose and went down with him to the king.
6So they divided the land between them to pass throughout it: Ahab went one way by himself, and Obadiah went another way by himself.
19So he departed from there, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth. And Elijah passed by him and cast his mantle upon him.
13And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off, the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand in a heap.
14And it came to pass, when the people moved from their tents, to cross over the Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people;
15And as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark were dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the time of harvest),
16That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up in a heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan; and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the Salt Sea, failed and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho.
17And the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan, and all the Israelites crossed over on dry ground, until all the people had crossed completely over the Jordan.
9Then the king sent to him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him, and behold, he sat on the top of a hill. And he spoke to him, Man of God, the king has said, Come down.
