14Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days; for the vision is yet for the days to come.
18Then there came again and touched me one in the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me,
19And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not; peace be to you, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken to me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.
20Then he said, Do you know why I have come to you? And now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia; and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Greece will come.
21But I will show you what is noted in the Scripture of truth; and no one stands with me in these things, but Michael your prince.
11Also I have made a decree, that whoever shall alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house and set up, let him be hanged upon it, and let his house be made a dunghill for this.
12And may the God who has caused His name to dwell there destroy all kings and people who attempt to alter or destroy this house of God which is at Jerusalem. I, Darius, have made a decree; let it be done swiftly.
13Then Tatnai, governor on this side the river, Shetharboznai, and their companions, acted according to what King Darius had sent, and they did so speedily.
4And it happened, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,
16I came near to one of those who stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.
8Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it may not be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which cannot be altered.
9Therefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.
1In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it.

19And he said, Behold, I will make you know what shall be in the latter end of the indignation: for at the appointed time the end shall be.

28Prepare against her the nations with the kings of the Medes, its captains, and all its rulers, and all the land of his dominion.
5And hired counselors against them, to frustrate their purpose, all the days of Cyrus king of Persia, even until the reign of Darius king of Persia.
11Polish the arrows; gather the shields; the LORD has raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes, for His plan is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of His temple.
18Now at the end of the days, when the king had said they should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them before Nebuchadnezzar.
