Certain men, the children of Belial, have gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which you have not known;

7And there gathered to him worthless men, sons of Belial, and have strengthened themselves against Rehoboam the son of Solomon, when Rehoboam was young and tenderhearted, and could not resist them.
8And now you think to withstand the kingdom of the LORD in the hand of the sons of David; and you are a great multitude, and with you are golden calves, which Jeroboam made for you to be gods.
9Have you not cast out the priests of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made yourselves priests like the peoples of other lands? So that whoever comes to consecrate himself with a young bull and seven rams, the same may be a priest of those who are no gods.
6If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend, who is as your own soul, entices you secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which you have not known, you, nor your fathers;
7Namely, of the gods of the people which are around you, near to you, or far off from you, from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth;
22As they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, surrounded the house, and beat at the door, and spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying, "Bring out the man who came into your house, that we may know him."
9Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods whom you do not know;

19But if you turn away and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods, and worship them;
17And you have seen their abominations, and their idols of wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)
18Lest there should be among you a man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turns away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that bears bitter poison and wormwood;
11And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim:
12And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, the gods of the people that were around them, and bowed themselves to them, and provoked the LORD to anger.
13And they forsook the LORD and served Baal and Ashtaroth.
6But the sons of Belial shall all be as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:
16Take heed to yourselves, that your heart is not deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods, and worship them;
14You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people who are all around you;
12For they served idols, of which the LORD had said to them, You shall not do this thing.
17But if your heart turns away, so that you will not hear, but shall be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
17Now therefore know and consider what you will do, for harm is determined against our master and against all his household, for he is such a scoundrel that one cannot speak to him.
13For according to the number of your cities were your gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have you set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense to Baal.
11Then you shall say to them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, says the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshiped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law.
9Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshiped other gods, and served them.
22Then all the wicked men and men of Belial, of those that went with David, answered and said, Because they went not with us, we will not give them any of the spoil that we have recovered, except to every man his wife and his children, that they may lead them away, and depart.
13Who leave the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness;

6But if you or your children turn from following Me, and do not keep My commandments and My statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:
20If you forsake the LORD, and serve foreign gods, then he will turn and do you harm, and consume you, after he has done you good.
16They left all the commandments of the LORD their God, made for themselves cast images, even two calves, made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.
12Beware, brothers and sisters, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
6And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD, and served the Baals and the Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Sidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and did not serve Him.
2And you shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land; you shall tear down their altars: but you have not obeyed my voice: why have you done this?
11There is one come out from you, who imagines evil against the LORD, a wicked counselor.
13Therefore I will cast you out of this land into a land that you do not know, neither you nor your fathers, and there you shall serve other gods day and night, where I will not show you favor.
7They have dealt treacherously against the LORD: for they have begotten strange children: now a month shall devour them with their portions.

16When you have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and you shall perish quickly from off the good land which he has given to you.
