Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; Like the vine tree among the trees of the forest, which I have given to the fire for fuel, so will I give the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

14And I will uproot your wooden images from the midst of you; so will I destroy your cities.
8Be instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul depart from you; lest I make you desolate, a land not inhabited.
24Therefore as the fire devours the stubble, and the flame consumes the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
22Thus says the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar and will set it; I will crop off from the top of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant it upon a high and prominent mountain:
6Therefore my fury and my anger was poured forth, and kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.
16It is burned with fire, it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of your countenance.
12And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, of which she said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a forest, and the animals of the field shall eat them.
7He has laid my vine waste, and stripped my fig tree: he has made it bare and cast it away; its branches are made white.
5For before the harvest, when the bud is perfect, and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.
10They shall not take wood out of the field, nor cut down any from the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall take spoil from those who spoiled them, and rob those who robbed them, says the Lord GOD.
