12 The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languishes; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy has withered away from the sons of men.
14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your deeds, says the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in its forest, and it shall devour all things around it.
17 But if they will not obey, I will utterly pluck up and destroy that nation, says the LORD.

8 And I will make this city desolate, and an object of scorn; everyone who passes by it shall be astonished and hiss because of all its plagues.
14 Thus says the LORD against all My evil neighbors who touch the inheritance which I have caused My people Israel to inherit: Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them.
10 For the mountains I will take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the birds of the heavens and the beasts have fled; they are gone.
6 For I will no longer pity the inhabitants of the land, says the LORD. But behold, I will deliver every man into his neighbor's hand, and into the hand of his king. They shall strike the land, and I will not deliver them out of their hand.
14 And fire has gone out from a rod of her branches, which has devoured her fruit, so that she has no strong rod to be a scepter to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.
6 Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree: two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches, says the LORD God of Israel.
9 In that day his strong cities shall be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation.
28 And it shall come to pass, that just as I have watched over them, to uproot, to break down, to throw down, and to destroy, and to harm; so will I watch over them, to build and to plant, says the LORD.
13 When it shall be thus in the midst of the land among the people, it shall be like the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning of grapes when the vintage is done.
8 And I will make the land desolate, because they have committed a trespass, says the Lord GOD.
15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, says the LORD your God.
12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.
9 I have struck you with blight and mildew: when your gardens, your vineyards, your fig trees, and your olive trees increased, the locust devoured them: yet you have not returned to me, says the LORD.
14 And I will uproot your wooden images from the midst of you; so will I destroy your cities.
