So Moab shall be a derision and a dismaying to all those around him. 40 For thus says the LORD: Behold, he shall fly like an eagle and shall spread his wings over Moab. 41 Kerioth is taken, and the strongholds are surprised, and the mighty men's hearts in Moab in that day shall be like the heart of a woman in her pangs. 42 And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he has magnified himself against the LORD. 43 Fear, the pit, and the snare shall be upon you, O inhabitant of Moab, says the LORD. 44 He who flees from the fear shall fall into the pit, and he who gets out of the pit shall be taken in the snare; for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their visitation, says the LORD. 45 Those who fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon because of the force; but a fire shall come out of Heshbon, and a flame from the midst of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones. 46 Woe to you, O Moab! The people of Chemosh perish, for your sons are taken captive and your daughters captive. 47 Yet I will bring back the captivity of Moab in the latter days, says the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab. 1 Concerning the Ammonites, thus says the LORD: Does Israel have no sons? Does he have no heir? Why then does their king inherit Gad, and his people dwell in its cities?
• Zeph 3:19-20 : 19 Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict you: and I will save her who is lame, and gather her who was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. 20 At that time I will bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, says the LORD.

• Zech 10:6-9 : 6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph. I will bring them back, for I have mercy on them, and they shall be as though I had not cast them off. For I am the LORD their God, and will hear them. 7 And those of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as with wine. Yes, their children shall see it and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD. 8 I will signal for them and gather them, for I have redeemed them. And they shall increase as they have increased. 9 And I will sow them among the people, and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children and turn again. 10 I will bring them back out of the land of Egypt and gather them out of Assyria, and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon, until no place can be found for them. 11 And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and strike the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up. And the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt shall depart. 12 And I will strengthen them in the LORD, and they shall walk in his name, says the LORD.
• Zech 12:2-4 : 2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling for all the people around about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. 3 And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all who burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. 4 In that day, says the LORD, I will strike every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open my eyes on the house of Judah, and will strike every horse of the people with blindness.
