This is the boundary of the children of Judah all around according to their families. 13 Caleb the son of Jephunneh received a portion among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua, namely the city of Arba the father of Anak, which is Hebron. 14 And Caleb drove out from there the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak. 15 And he went up from there to the inhabitants of Debir: the name of Debir before was Kirjathsepher. 16 And Caleb said, He who strikes Kirjathsepher and takes it, to him I will give Achsah my daughter as a wife. 17 And Othniel the son of Kenaz, the brother of Caleb, took it: and he gave him Achsah his daughter as a wife. 18 And it happened, as she came to him, that she persuaded him to ask her father for a field: and she dismounted from her donkey; and Caleb said to her, What do you desire? 19 She answered, Give me a blessing; since you have given me land in the south, give me also springs of water.     30And these are the exits of the city on the north side, four thousand and five hundred measures.

    31And the gates of the city shall be named after the tribes of Israel: three gates northward; one gate of Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi.

    32And on the east side four thousand and five hundred: and three gates; one gate of Joseph, one gate of Benjamin, one gate of Dan.

    33And on the south side four thousand and five hundred measures: and three gates; one gate of Simeon, one gate of Issachar, one gate of Zebulun.

    34On the west side four thousand and five hundred, with their three gates; one gate of Gad, one gate of Asher, one gate of Naphtali.
