48 Therefore you shall serve your enemies which the LORD shall send against you, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon your neck, until he has destroyed you. 49 The LORD shall bring a nation against you from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies; • Judg 4:2 : 2 And the LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor; the commander of his army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth of the Gentiles.
• Judg 6:1 : 1 And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian for seven years.
• 1 Kgs 9:6-9 : 6 But if you or your children turn from following Me, and do not keep My commandments and My statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them: 7 Then I will cut off Israel from the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for My name, I will cast out of My sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people: 8 And at this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why has the LORD done this to this land and to this house? 9 And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold of other gods, and have worshiped them, and served them: therefore, the LORD has brought upon them all this evil.
• 2 Kgs 21:12-15 : 12 Therefore thus says the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such disaster upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears will tingle. 13 And I will stretch over Jerusalem the measuring line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down. 14 And I will forsake the remnant of my inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies; 15 Because they have done what is evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came out of Egypt, even to this day.
