23 Will not their livestock and their substance and every beast of theirs be ours? Only let us consent to them, and they will dwell with us.
6 And Hamor, the father of Shechem, went out to Jacob to speak with him.
7 And the sons of Jacob came out of the field when they heard it, and they were grieved and very wroth because he had wrought folly in Israel by lying with Jacob's daughter, a thing that ought not to be done.

12 Now therefore do not give your daughters to their sons, nor take their daughters for your sons, nor seek their peace or their wealth forever, that you may be strong and eat the good of the land, and leave it as an inheritance to your children forever.
