9 And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan swore to them and to their men, saying, Do not fear to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.
11 Likewise when all the Jews that were in Moab, and among the Ammonites, and in Edom, and who were in all the countries, heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant of Judah, and that he had set over them Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan;
12 Even all the Jews returned out of all places where they were driven, and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah, to Mizpah, and gathered wine and summer fruits in great abundance.
13 Moreover Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were in the fields, came to Gedaliah to Mizpah,
24 And Gedaliah swore to them and to their men, and said to them, Fear not to be the servants of the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon; and it shall be well with you.
11 But the nations that bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those I will let remain still in their own land, says the LORD; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.

2 Thus says the LORD, He who remains in this city shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence; but he who goes forth to the Chaldeans shall live; for he shall have his life as a prize, and shall live.
17 Do not listen to them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: why should this city be laid waste?

4 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem to Babylon:
5 Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their fruit.
8 But ten men were found among them who said to Ishmael, Do not kill us: for we have treasures in the field, of wheat, and barley, and oil, and honey. So he spared them, and did not kill them among their brethren.
4 Behold, therefore I will deliver you to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in you, and make their dwellings in you: they shall eat your fruit, and they shall drink your milk.
16 Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handles the sickle in the harvest time: for fear of the oppressing sword everyone shall turn to his own people, and they shall flee to their own land.
10 For though you had struck the whole army of the Chaldeans who fight against you, and there remain only wounded men among them, yet they shall rise up, every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire.
10 If you will still abide in this land, then I will build you up, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I repent of the evil that I have done unto you.
22 As for the people who remained in the land of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had left, he made Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, ruler over them.
32 until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and wine, a land of bread and vineyards, a land of olive oil and honey, that you may live and not die. Do not listen to Hezekiah when he persuades you, saying, The LORD will deliver us.
10 Take of them of the captivity, from Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah, who have come from Babylon, and come you the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;

8 And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation I will punish, says the LORD, with the sword, and with famine, and with pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
15 And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, you remnant of Judah; Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If you wholly set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to live there;
1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him bound in chains among all who were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, who were taken captive to Babylon.
4 Thus says the LORD God of Israel: Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, with which you fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans who besiege you outside the walls, and I will gather them into the midst of this city.
