4Thus says the LORD God of Israel: Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, with which you fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans who besiege you outside the walls, and I will gather them into the midst of this city.
5And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there he shall be until I visit him, says the LORD: though you fight with the Chaldeans, you shall not prosper.
14But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour its palaces, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:
10They shall not take wood out of the field, nor cut down any from the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall take spoil from those who spoiled them, and rob those who robbed them, says the Lord GOD.
29And you shall say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus says the LORD: You have burned this scroll, saying, Why have you written in it, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause man and beast to cease from there?
30The mighty men of Babylon have ceased to fight, they have remained in their strongholds; their might has failed; they became like women; they have burned her dwelling places; her bars are broken.
27But if you will not listen to me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.
7When the king of Babylon's army fought against Jerusalem and against all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish and against Azekah; for these fortified cities remained of the cities of Judah.
17Therefore, he brought upon them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or young woman, old man, or aged; he gave them all into his hand.
7And I will prepare destroyers against you, everyone with his weapons: and they shall cut down your choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.
4For thus says the LORD, Behold, I will make you a terror to yourself, and to all your friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and your eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword.
6For indeed I am raising up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation which marches through the breadth of the earth, to possess dwellingplaces that are not theirs.
30Therefore her young men shall fall in the streets, and all her men of war shall be cut off in that day, says the LORD.
26Come against her from the furthest border, open her storehouses: pile her up as heaps, and utterly destroy her: let nothing of her be left.
17Do not listen to them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: why should this city be laid waste?
2You shall burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and you shall take a third part, and strike around it with a knife: and a third part you shall scatter to the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.
4Moreover you shall say to them, Thus says the LORD; Shall they fall and not rise? Shall he turn away and not return?
30Flee, get far off, dwell deep, O inhabitants of Hazor, says the LORD; for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has taken counsel against you, and has conceived a purpose against you.
35A sword is upon the Chaldeans, says the LORD, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise men.
