14Therefore the LORD has watched over the calamity, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all His works which He does: for we have not obeyed His voice.
13But if you say, We will not dwell in this land, neither obey the voice of the LORD your God,
14Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:
15And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, you remnant of Judah; Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If you wholly set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to live there;
16As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of the LORD, we will not listen to you.
17But we will certainly do whatever thing proceeds out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then we had plenty of food, and were well, and saw no evil.
16And they answered Joshua, saying, All that you command us we will do, and wherever you send us, we will go.
17Just as we heeded Moses in all things, so we will heed you. Only the LORD your God be with you, as he was with Moses.
9And said to them, Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to present your supplication before him;
10And it shall come to pass, when you show this people all these words, and they say to you, Why has the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?
20For you dissembled in your hearts, when you sent me to the LORD your God, saying, Pray for us to the LORD our God; and according to all that the LORD our God shall say, so declare to us, and we will do it.
21And now I have this day declared it to you; but you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God, nor anything for which he has sent me to you.
13Therefore now amend your ways and your deeds, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will relent of the evil that he has pronounced against you.
32And it shall be, if you go with us, yes, it shall be, that whatever good the LORD shall do to us, the same we will do to you.
2Please inquire of the LORD for us, for Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, makes war against us, perhaps the LORD will deal with us according to all His wondrous works, that he may depart from us.
24And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is to this day.
25And it shall be our righteousness if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he has commanded us.
20But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver you. Obey, I beg you, the voice of the LORD, which I speak to you: so it shall be well with you, and your soul shall live.
21But if you refuse to go forth, this is the word that the LORD has shown me:
23But this thing I commanded them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people: and walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well with you.
24And the people said to Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.
2And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said to him, The LORD your God has pronounced this calamity upon this place.
3Now the LORD has brought it, and done as He has said: because you have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed His voice, therefore this thing has come upon you.
4And now, behold, I release you this day from the chains which were upon your hand. If it seems good to you to come with me to Babylon, come; and I will look well to you: but if it seems bad to you to come with me to Babylon, hold back: behold, all the land is before you: wherever it seems good and convenient for you to go, there go.
27Go near, and hear all that the LORD our God shall say: and speak to us all that the LORD our God shall speak to you; and we will hear it, and do it.
6Then the LORD said to me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear the words of this covenant, and do them.
36Here we are, servants today! And the land that You gave to our forefathers to eat its fruit and its bounty, here we are, servants in it.
2And it shall come to pass, if they say to you, Where shall we go forth? then you shall tell them, Thus says the LORD; Those for death, to death; and those for the sword, to the sword; and those for the famine, to the famine; and those for the captivity, to the captivity.
5And they said to him, Please inquire of God, that we may know whether our way which we go shall be successful.
12Then came the word of the LORD to Jeremiah, saying,
42For thus says the LORD; As I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.
6Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring back the vessels of the LORD'S house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon to this place.
7Nevertheless, hear now this word that I speak in your ears, and in the ears of all the people;
12Take him and look well to him and do him no harm; but do to him even as he says to you.
10Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in His laws, which He set before us by His servants the prophets.
10If it does evil in my sight, so that it does not obey my voice, then I will relent of the good with which I said I would benefit them.
7It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and each will turn from his evil way; for great is the anger and the fury that the LORD has pronounced against this people.
26And as for the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of the LORD, so shall you say to him, Thus says the LORD God of Israel concerning the words which you have heard;
9If they say to us, 'Wait until we come to you,' then we will stand still in our place and not go up to them.
4So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, did not obey the voice of the LORD, to dwell in the land of Judah.
18But to the king of Judah who sent you to inquire of the LORD, thus shall you say to him, Thus says the LORD God of Israel, As for the words which you have heard;
3And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal, the son of Shelemiah, and Zephaniah, the son of Maaseiah, the priest, to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, 'Pray now to the LORD our God for us.'
