Verse 1

Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me.

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

Verse 2

In my Father's house are many rooms: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Verse 3

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Verse 4

And where I go you know, and the way you know.

And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

Verse 5

Thomas said to him, Lord, we do not know where you are going; and how can we know the way?

Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

Verse 6

Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father except through me.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Verse 7

If you had known me, you would have known my Father also: and from now on you know him, and have seen him.

If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Verse 8

Philip said to him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.

Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

Verse 9

Jesus said to him, Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not known me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father; and how do you say then, Show us the Father?

Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

Verse 10

Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own: but the Father who dwells in me does the works.

Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Verse 11

Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the sake of the works themselves.

Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

Verse 12

Truly, truly, I say to you, He who believes in me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to my Father.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Verse 13

And whatever you ask in my name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Verse 14

If you ask anything in my name, I will do it.

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Verse 15

If you love me, keep my commandments.

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Verse 16

And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Helper, that he may abide with you forever;

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Verse 17

The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you and will be in you.

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Verse 18

I will not leave you as orphans: I will come to you.

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

Verse 19

Yet a little while, and the world sees me no more; but you see me: because I live, you will live also.

Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

Verse 20

At that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.

At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Verse 21

He who has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is who loves me: and he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Verse 22

Judas, not Iscariot, said to him, Lord, how is it that you will reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?

Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

Verse 23

Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him.

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Verse 24

He who does not love me does not keep my words: and the word which you hear is not mine, but the Father's who sent me.

He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

Verse 25

These things I have spoken to you while being present with you.

These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

Verse 26

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I have said to you.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Verse 27

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Verse 28

You have heard me say to you, I am going away and coming back to you. If you loved me, you would rejoice because I said, I am going to the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

Verse 29

And now I have told you before it comes to pass, that when it does come to pass, you might believe.

And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

Verse 30

Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world is coming, and he has nothing in me.

Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

Verse 31

But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go from here.

But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
