8Moreover the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who was over the thanksgiving, he and his brethren.
26These were in the days of Joiakim the son of Jeshua, the son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.
27At the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem, they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to celebrate the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and with harps.
24Then I separated twelve of the chief of the priests, Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brethren with them,
25And weighed out to them the silver, the gold, and the vessels, the offering for the house of our God, which the king, his counselors, his lords, and all Israel present had offered:
1Now it came to pass, when the wall was built, and I had set up the doors, and the gatekeepers, and the singers, and the Levites were appointed,
2That I gave my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the palace, charge over Jerusalem: for he was a faithful man and feared God above many.
27Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, who has put such a thing as this in the king's heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem:
28And has extended mercy to me before the king, and his counselors, and before all the king's mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, and I gathered chief men from Israel to go up with me.
4Then Jeshua, Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani, and Chenani stood on the platform of the Levites and cried out with a loud voice to the LORD their God.
4And Ezra the scribe stood upon a wooden platform, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, Shema, Anaiah, Urijah, Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, Mishael, Malchiah, Hashum, Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
2You who stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,
5Then the leaders of the fathers' houses of Judah and Benjamin arose, and the priests, and the Levites, with all those whose spirit God had raised, to go up to build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem.
5and he had prepared for him a large room, where previously they had stored the grain offerings, the frankincense, the vessels, and the tithes of grain, new wine, and oil, which were commanded to be given to the Levites, the singers, and the gatekeepers, as well as the offerings for the priests.
12Among these were the divisions of the gatekeepers, even among the chief men, having duties one against another, to serve in the house of the LORD.
18Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me, and also the king's words that he had spoken to me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.
70So the priests, the Levites, some of the people, the singers, the porters, and the Nethinims, dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities.
36And they delivered the king's decrees to the king's lieutenants, and to the governors on this side of the river; and they supported the people and the house of God.
2And the people blessed all the men who willingly offered themselves to live at Jerusalem.
16And the rulers did not know where I had gone, or what I had done; I had not yet told it to the Jews, the priests, the nobles, the rulers, or the rest who did the work.

19Then I said to the nobles, the rulers, and the rest of the people, The work is great and extensive, and we are separated on the wall, far from one another.
22At the same time I also said to the people, Let every man and his servant stay at night in Jerusalem, that they may be a guard to us by night, and a labor force by day.
10Afterward I came to the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah, the son of Mehetabel, who was confined; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to kill you; indeed, at night they will come to kill you.
8And a letter to Asaph, the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which pertain to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me.
30Thus I cleansed them of everything foreign, and I assigned duties to the priests and the Levites, each to his service,
6So we built the wall; and all the wall was joined together up to half its height: for the people had a mind to work.
7Also Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites helped the people to understand the law; and the people stood in their place.
16Indeed, I also devoted myself to the work on this wall and did not buy any land. All my servants were gathered there for the work.
13And I appointed as treasurers over the storehouses Shelemiah the priest, Zadok the scribe, and Pedaiah of the Levites; and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah, for they were considered trustworthy, and their task was to distribute to their brethren.
12and to masons and stonecutters, and for buying timber and hewn stone to repair the breaches of the house of the LORD, and for all that was laid out for the house to repair it.
40The Levites: the children of Jeshua and Kadmiel, of the children of Hodaviah, seventy-four.
11And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks to the LORD; because He is good, for His mercy endures forever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.
