What is to stop me from being baptized?” 38 So he ordered the chariot to stop, and both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and Philip baptized him. 39 Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him any more, but went on his way rejoicing. 40 Philip, however, found himself at Azotus, and as he passed through the area, he proclaimed the good news to all the towns until he came to Caesarea.

24 But the king said to Araunah,“No, I insist on buying it from you! I will not offer to the LORD my God burnt sacrifices that cost me nothing.”So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty pieces of silver.
25 Then David built an altar for the LORD there and offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings. And the LORD accepted prayers for the land, and the plague was removed from Israel.

26 David built there an altar to the LORD and offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings. He called out to the LORD, and the LORD responded by sending fire from the sky and consuming the burnt sacrifice on the altar.
27 The LORD ordered the messenger to put his sword back into its sheath.
28 At that time, when David saw that the LORD responded to him at the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite, he sacrificed there.
29 Now the LORD’s tabernacle(which Moses had made in the wilderness) and the altar for burnt sacrifices were at that time at the worship center in Gibeon.
30 But David could not go before it to seek God’s will, for he was afraid of the sword of the LORD’s angel.
