7But as you excel in everything– in faith, in speech, in knowledge, and in all eagerness and in the love from us that is in you– make sure that you excel in this act of kindness too.

14However, without your consent I did not want to do anything, so that your good deed would not be out of compulsion, but from your own willingness.
9And I pray this, that your love may abound even more and more in knowledge and every kind of insight

26Church Order What should you do then, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each one has a song, has a lesson, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all these things be done for the strengthening of the church.
8The person who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
5But the aim of our instruction is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith.
17The former proclaim Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, because they think they can cause trouble for me in my imprisonment.
39So then, brothers and sisters, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid anyone from speaking in tongues.
