8But the prophet said to the king,“Even if you were to give me half your possessions, I would not go with you. I am not allowed to eat food or drink water in this place.

10So he started back on another road; he did not travel back on the same road he had taken to Bethel.

26Elisha replied,“I was there in spirit when a man turned and got down from his chariot to meet you. This is not the proper time to accept silver or to accept clothes, olive groves, vineyards, sheep, cattle, and male and female servants.
8Whenever you enter a town and the people welcome you, eat what is set before you.
18Do not leave this place until I come back with a gift and present it to you.” The LORD said,“I will stay here until you come back.”
12Amaziah then said to Amos,“Leave, you visionary! Run away to the land of Judah! Earn your living and prophesy there!
16The LORD’s angel said to Manoah,“If I stay, I will not eat your food. But if you want to make a burnt sacrifice to the LORD, you should offer it.”(He said this because Manoah did not know that he was the LORD’s angel.)
