21So he cried out to the prophet who had come from Judah,“This is what the LORD has said,‘You have rebelled against the LORD’s instruction and have not obeyed the command the LORD your God gave you.
22You went back. You ate food. And you drank water in the place of which he had said to you,“Eat no food. Drink no water.” Therefore your corpse will not be buried in your ancestral tomb.’”
23So this is what happened after he had eaten food and drunk water. The old prophet saddled the donkey for the prophet whom he had brought back.
10So he started back on another road; he did not travel back on the same road he had taken to Bethel.
11Now there was an old prophet living in Bethel. When his sons came home, they told him everything the prophet had done in Bethel that day. And they told their father all the words that he had spoken to the king.
12Their father asked them,“Which road did he take?” His sons showed him the road the prophet from Judah had taken.
7The king then said to the prophet,“Come home with me and have something to eat, so that I may give you a gift.”
8But the prophet said to the king,“Even if you were to give me half your possessions, I would not go with you. I am not allowed to eat food or drink water in this place.
27“Let me pass through your land; I will keep strictly to the roadway. I will not turn aside to the right or the left.
28Sell me food for cash so that I can eat and sell me water to drink. Just allow me to go through on foot,
8The LORD’s message came to him,
16The LORD’s angel said to Manoah,“If I stay, I will not eat your food. But if you want to make a burnt sacrifice to the LORD, you should offer it.”(He said this because Manoah did not know that he was the LORD’s angel.)

5So he carried out the LORD’s message; he went and lived in the Kerith Valley near the Jordan.
26Say,‘This is what the king says:“Put this man in prison. Give him only a little bread and water until I return safely.”’”
9So he said to the messengers of Ben Hadad,“Say this to my master, the king,‘I will give you everything you demanded at first from your servant, but I am unable to agree to this latest demand.’” So the messengers went back and gave their report.
9But the prophet sent this message to the king of Israel,“Make sure you don’t pass through this place because Syria is invading there.”
8Then the LORD’s message came to me,
18When they came back, Elisha was staying in Jericho. He said to them,“Didn’t I tell you,‘Don’t go’?”

13Certainly my master is aware of what I did when Jezebel was killing the LORD’s prophets. I hid one hundred of the LORD’s prophets in two caves in two groups of fifty and I brought them food and water.

1False Prophets Denounced Then the LORD’s message came to me:

7But a prophet visited him and said:“O king, the Israelite troops must not go with you, for the LORD is not with Israel or any of the Ephraimites.
33When food was served, he said,“I will not eat until I have said what I want to say.”“Tell us,” Laban said.
18The Levite said to him,“We are traveling from Bethlehem in Judah to the remote region of the Ephraimite hill country. That’s where I’m from. I had business in Bethlehem in Judah, but now I’m heading home. But no one has invited me into their home.
