8In Jerusalem Jehoshaphat appointed some Levites, priests, and Israelite family leaders to judge on behalf of the LORD and to settle disputes among the residents of Jerusalem.
27So the king of Assyria ordered,“Take back one of the priests whom you deported from there. He must settle there and teach them the requirements of the God of the land.”
28So one of the priests whom they had deported from Samaria went back and settled in Bethel. He taught them how to worship the LORD.
3He sent it with Elasah son of Shaphan and Gemariah son of Hilkiah. King Zedekiah of Judah had sent these men to Babylon to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. The letter said:
11Take note, Amariah the chief priest will oversee you in every matter pertaining to the LORD and Zebadiah son of Ishmael, the leader of the family of Judah, in every matter pertaining to the king. The Levites will serve as officials before you. Act courageously! And may the LORD be with those who do well!”
25Then the king of Israel said,“Take Micaiah and return him to Amon the city official and Joash the king’s son.
25that the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel has a message for him. Tell him,‘On your own initiative you sent a letter to the priest Zephaniah son of Maaseiah and to all the other priests and to all the people in Jerusalem. In your letter you said to Zephaniah,

7You have also established prophets to announce in Jerusalem on your behalf,‘We have a king in Judah!’ Now the king is going to hear about these rumors. So come on! Let’s talk about this.”
3“Say this to King Rehoboam son of Solomon of Judah and to all the Israelites in Judah and Benjamin,
1¶ Introduction This is the LORD’s message that came to Micah of Moresheth during the time of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.
4He ordered the people living in Jerusalem to contribute the portion prescribed for the priests and Levites so they might be obedient to the law of the LORD.
