4but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we declare it, not to please people but God, who examines our hearts.
2Now we know that God’s judgment is in accordance with truth against those who practice such things.
5Now the one who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave us the Spirit as a down payment.
8But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
22For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
9as unknown, and yet well-known; as dying and yet– see!– we continue to live; as those who are scourged and yet not executed;
10He died for us so that whether we are alert or asleep we will come to life together with him.
