40But Peter sent them all outside, knelt down, and prayed. Turning to the body, he said,“Tabitha, get up.” Then she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
41He gave her his hand and helped her get up. Then he called the saints and widows and presented her alive.
42This became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.
6But Peter said,“I have no silver or gold, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, stand up and walk!”
7Then Peter took hold of him by the right hand and raised him up, and at once the man’s feet and ankles were made strong.
8He jumped up, stood and began walking around, and he entered the temple courts with them, walking and leaping and praising God.
9All the people saw him walking and praising God,
10and they recognized him as the man who used to sit and ask for donations at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, and they were filled with astonishment and amazement at what had happened to him.
11Peter Addresses the Crowd While the man was hanging on to Peter and John, all the people, completely astounded, ran together to them in the covered walkway called Solomon’s Portico.
12When Peter saw this, he declared to the people,“Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this? Why do you stare at us as if we had made this man walk by our own power or piety?
13He informed us how he had seen an angel standing in his house and saying,‘Send to Joppa and summon Simon, who is called Peter,
14who will speak a message to you by which you and your entire household will be saved.’

9if we are being examined today for a good deed done to a sick man– by what means this man was healed–
10let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, this man stands before you healthy.
23When he came and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with devoted hearts,
27But Barnabas took Saul, brought him to the apostles, and related to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had spoken out boldly in the name of Jesus.
37The Response to Peter’s Address Now when they heard this, they were acutely distressed and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“What should we do, brothers?”

12Then when the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed, because he was greatly astounded at the teaching about the Lord.

25Immediately he stood up before them, picked up the stretcher he had been lying on, and went home, glorifying God.

6But stand up and enter the city and you will be told what you must do.”
