10Exhortation to Worship the Lord Exclusively Then when the LORD your God brings you to the land he promised your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to give you– a land with large, fine cities you did not build,
11houses filled with choice things you did not accumulate, hewn out cisterns you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant– and you eat your fill,
5The LORD your God will drive them out from before you and remove them, so you can occupy their land as the LORD your God promised you.

2and he delivers them over to you and you attack them, you must utterly annihilate them. Make no treaty with them and show them no mercy!
23then he will drive out all these nations ahead of you, and you will dispossess nations greater and stronger than you.
13The LORD your God will deliver it over to you and you must kill every single male by the sword.
14However, the women, little children, cattle, and anything else in the city– all its plunder– you may take for yourselves as spoil. You may take from your enemies the plunder that the LORD your God has given you.
15This is how you are to deal with all those cities located far from you, those that do not belong to these nearby nations.
16Laws Concerning War with Canaanite Nations As for the cities of these peoples that the LORD your God is going to give you as an inheritance, you must not allow a single living thing to survive.
17Instead you must utterly annihilate them– the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites– just as the LORD your God has commanded you,
31For you are about to cross the Jordan to possess the land the LORD your God is giving you, and you will possess and inhabit it.
18Do whatever is proper and good before the LORD so that it may go well with you and that you may enter and occupy the good land that he promised your ancestors,
19and that you may drive out all your enemies just as the LORD said.

9and then you are careful to observe all these commandments I am giving you today(namely, to love the LORD your God and to always walk in his ways), then you must add three more cities to these three.

15you must by all means slaughter the inhabitants of that city with the sword; annihilate with the sword everyone in it, as well as the livestock.
14Provision for Kingship When you come to the land the LORD your God is giving you and take it over and live in it and then say,“I will select a king like all the nations surrounding me,”
4However, there should not be any poor among you, for the LORD will surely bless you in the land that he is giving you as an inheritance,
15until the LORD gives your brothers a place like yours to settle and they conquer the land the LORD your God is ready to hand over to them. Then you may go back to your allotted land and occupy the land Moses the LORD’s servant assigned you east of the Jordan.”
