  • 17Furthermore, he must not marry many wives lest his affections turn aside, and he must not accumulate much silver and gold.

  • 18Thus you must obey the LORD your God, keeping all his commandments that I am giving you today and doing what is right before him.

  • 4However, there should not be any poor among you, for the LORD will surely bless you in the land that he is giving you as an inheritance,

  • 23You multiplied their descendants like the stars of the sky. You brought them to the land you had told their ancestors to enter in order to possess.

  • 30Indeed, you had little before I arrived, but now your possessions have increased many times over. The LORD has blessed you wherever I worked. But now, how long must it be before I do something for my own family too?”
