43Participation in the Passover The LORD said to Moses and Aaron,“This is the ordinance of the Passover. No foreigner may share in eating it.
3Tell the whole community of Israel,‘In the tenth day of this month they each must take a lamb for themselves according to their families– a lamb for each household.
4But the LORD will distinguish between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt, and nothing will die of all that the Israelites have.”’”
12They must not leave any of it until morning, nor break any of its bones; they must observe it in accordance with every statute of the Passover.
15When Pharaoh stubbornly refused to release us, the LORD killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of people to the firstborn of animals. That is why I am sacrificing to the LORD the first male offspring of every womb, but all my firstborn sons I redeem.’

1The Institution of the Passover The LORD said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt,
6And the LORD did this on the next day; all the livestock of the Egyptians died, but of the Israelites’ livestock not one died.
