5When it was reported to the king of Egypt that the people had fled, the heart of Pharaoh and his servants was turned against the people, and the king and his servants said,“What in the world have we done? For we have released the people of Israel from serving us!”

31Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron in the night and said,“Get up, get out from among my people, both you and the Israelites! Go, serve the LORD as you have requested!
24Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and said,“Go, serve the LORD– only your flocks and herds will be detained. Even your families may go with you.”
25But Moses said,“Will you also provide us with sacrifices and burnt offerings that we may present them to the LORD our God?
26Our livestock must also go with us! Not a hoof is to be left behind! For we must take these animals to serve the LORD our God. Until we arrive there, we do not know what we must use to serve the LORD.”
3The Israelites said to them,“If only we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat, when we ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger!”

8Woe to us! Who can deliver us from the hand of these mighty gods? These are the gods who struck the Egyptians with all sorts of plagues in the desert!
25He jammed the wheels of their chariots so that they had difficulty driving, and the Egyptians said,“Let’s flee from Israel, for the LORD fights for them against Egypt!”
