Then the LORD said to Moses,“Tell Aaron,‘Take your staff and stretch out your hand over Egypt’s waters– over their rivers, over their canals, over their ponds, and over all their reservoirs– so that it becomes blood.’ There will be blood everywhere in the land of Egypt, even in wooden and stone containers.”

  • 10So they took soot from a furnace and stood before Pharaoh, Moses threw it into the air, and it caused festering boils to break out on both people and animals.

  • 11Then Moses raised his hand, and struck the rock twice with his staff. And water came out abundantly. So the community drank, and their beasts drank too.
