1Prophecy Against Mount Seir The LORD’s message came to me:
2“Son of man, turn toward Mount Seir, and prophesy against it.
3Say to it,‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says:“‘Look, I am against you, Mount Seir; I will stretch out my hand against you and turn you into a desolate ruin.
4I will lay waste your cities; and you will become desolate. Then you will know that I am the LORD!

9I will turn you into a perpetual desolation, and your cities will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the LORD.

8Soon now I will pour out my rage on you; I will fully vent my anger against you. I will judge you according to your behavior. I will hold you accountable for all your abominable practices.
4therefore, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Sovereign LORD: This is what the Sovereign LORD says to the mountains and hills, the ravines and valleys, and to the desolate ruins and the abandoned cities that have become prey and an object of derision to the rest of the nations round about–
11I will destroy the cities of your land, and tear down all your fortresses.
37Their peaceful dwelling places will be laid waste by the fierce anger of the LORD.
14I will stretch out my hand against them and make the land a desolate waste from the wilderness to Riblah, in all the places where they live. Then they will know that I am the LORD.
7then I will remove Israel from the land I have given them, I will abandon this temple I have consecrated with my presence, and Israel will be mocked and ridiculed among all the nations.

4My eye will not pity you; I will not spare you. For I will hold you responsible for your behavior, and you will suffer the consequences of your abominable practices. Then you will know that I am the LORD!
