2“Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him? Let the person who accuses God give him an answer!”
3Then Job answered the LORD:
17“But you, Jeremiah, get yourself ready! Go and tell these people everything I instruct you to say. Do not be terrified of them, or I will give you good reason to be terrified of them.
15You will call and I– I will answer you; you will long for the creature you have made.
3But I wish to speak to the Almighty, and I desire to argue my case with God.
33Is it your opinion that God should recompense it, because you reject this? But you must choose, and not I, so tell us what you know.
34Men of understanding say to me– any wise man listening to me says–
7“Were you the first man ever born? Were you brought forth before the hills?
8Do you listen in on God’s secret council? Do you limit wisdom to yourself?
3Do you fix your eye on such a one? And do you bring me before you for judgment?
3‘Call on me in prayer and I will answer you. I will show you great and mysterious things which you still do not know about.’
33Do you know the laws of the heavens, or can you set up their rule over the earth?
34Can you raise your voice to the clouds so that a flood of water covers you?
3Will there be an end to your windy words? Or what provokes you that you answer?
5I would know with what words he would answer me, and understand what he would say to me.
