28 You heard me say to you,‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.
3 And I wrote this very thing to you, so that when I came I would not have sadness from those who ought to make me rejoice, since I am confident in you all that my joy would be yours.
29 The one who has the bride is the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom, who stands by and listens for him, rejoices greatly when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. This then is my joy, and it is complete.

4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me.
17 If you understand these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

19 In a little while the world will not see me any longer, but you will see me; because I live, you will live too.

33 Children, I am still with you for a little while. You will look for me, and just as I said to the Jewish religious leaders,‘Where I am going you cannot come,’ now I tell you the same.
34 “I give you a new commandment– to love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
35 Everyone will know by this that you are my disciples– if you have love for one another.”
31 but I am doing just what the Father commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Get up, let us go from here.
