Peter’s First Denial Simon Peter and another disciple followed them as they brought Jesus to Annas.(Now the other disciple was acquainted with the high priest, and he went with Jesus into the high priest’s courtyard.)

Now you have heard the blasphemy! 66 What is your verdict?” They answered,“He is guilty and deserves death.” 67 Then they spat in his face and struck him with their fists. And some slapped him, 68 saying,“Prophesy for us, you Christ! Who hit you?”
