16Now Barak chased the chariots and the army all the way to Harosheth Haggoyim. Sisera’s whole army died by the edge of the sword; not even one survived!
17Now Sisera ran away on foot to the tent of Jael, wife of Heber the Kenite, for King Jabin of Hazor and the family of Heber the Kenite had made a peace treaty.
18Jael came out to welcome Sisera. She said to him,“Stop and rest, my lord. Stop and rest with me. Don’t be afraid.” So Sisera stopped to rest in her tent, and she put a blanket over him.
4Now Deborah, a prophetess, wife of Lappidoth, was leading Israel at that time.
5She would sit under the Date Palm Tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the Ephraimite hill country. The Israelites would come up to her to have their disputes settled.
6She summoned Barak son of Abinoam from Kedesh in Naphtali. She said to him,“Is it not true that the LORD God of Israel is commanding you? Go, march to Mount Tabor! Take with you ten thousand men from Naphtali and Zebulun!
7I will bring Sisera, the general of Jabin’s army, to you at the Kishon River, along with his chariots and huge army. I will hand him over to you.”

16But Ruth replied,“Stop urging me to abandon you! For wherever you go, I will go. Wherever you live, I will live. Your people will become my people, and your God will become my God.
17Wherever you die, I will die– and there I will be buried. May the LORD punish me severely if I do not keep my promise! Only death will be able to separate me from you!”
18When Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped trying to dissuade her.
15Issachar’s leaders were with Deborah, the men of Issachar supported Barak; into the valley they were sent under Barak’s command. Among the clans of Reuben there was intense heart searching.
20He said to her,“Stand watch at the entrance to the tent. If anyone comes along and asks you,‘Is there a man here?’ say,‘No.’”
39But I said to my master,‘What if the woman does not want to go with me?’

16However, if the servant says to you,“I do not want to leave you,” because he loves you and your household, since he is well off with you,

4Then he said to Jehoshaphat,“Will you go with me to attack Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat replied to the king of Israel,“I will support you; my army and horses are at your disposal.”
4And if it seems advisable that I should go also, they will go with me.
6Be strong and courageous! Do not fear or tremble before them, for the LORD your God is the one who is going with you. He will not fail you or abandon you!”
