    1The Triumphal Entry Now as they approached Jerusalem, near Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples

    4So they went and found a colt tied at a door, outside in the street, and untied it.

    5Some people standing there said to them,“What are you doing, untying that colt?”

    6They replied as Jesus had told them, and the bystanders let them go.

    7Then they brought the colt to Jesus, threw their cloaks on it, and he sat on it.

    8Many spread their cloaks on the road and others spread branches they had cut in the fields.

    9Both those who went ahead and those who followed kept shouting,“Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!

    29Now when he approached Bethphage and Bethany, at the place called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of the disciples,

    30telling them,“Go to the village ahead of you. When you enter it, you will find a colt tied there that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here.

    31If anyone asks you,‘Why are you untying it?’ just say,‘The Lord needs it.’”

    32So those who were sent ahead found it exactly as he had told them.

    6So the disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them.

    7They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them, and he sat on them.

    8A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road. Others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
