6 Samuel said to the people,“The LORD is the one who chose Moses and Aaron and who brought your ancestors up from the land of Egypt.

9 So Samuel took a nursing lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the LORD. Samuel cried out to the LORD on Israel’s behalf, and the LORD answered him.

6 I say to the LORD,“You are my God.” O LORD, pay attention to my plea for mercy!

6 But this request displeased Samuel, for they said,“Give us a king to lead us.” So Samuel prayed to the LORD.
26 David built there an altar to the LORD and offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings. He called out to the LORD, and the LORD responded by sending fire from the sky and consuming the burnt sacrifice on the altar.
6 I call to you for you will answer me, O God. Listen to me! Hear what I say!
