2Lift up your eyes to the bare heights, and see; where have you not been lain with? By the ways have you sat for them, as an Arabian in the wilderness; and you have polluted the land with your prostitution and with your wickedness.
3Therefore the showers have been withheld, and there has been no latter rain; yet you have a prostitute's forehead, you refused to be ashamed.
14But Zion said, Yahweh has forsaken me, and the Lord has forgotten me.
15Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you.

6You have rejected me, says Yahweh, you are gone backward: therefore have I stretched out my hand against you, and destroyed you; I am weary with repenting.
17Who forsakes the friend of her youth, And forgets the covenant of her God:
8Now when I passed by you, and looked at you, behold, your time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over you, and covered your nakedness: yes, I swore to you, and entered into a covenant with you, says the Lord Yahweh, and you became mine.
2"The virgin of Israel has fallen; She shall rise no more. She is cast down on her land; There is no one to raise her up."
25This is your lot, the portion measured to you from me, says Yahweh; because you have forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.

9You drive the women of my people out from their pleasant houses; From their young children you take away my blessing forever.
30How weak is your heart, says the Lord Yahweh, seeing you do all these things, the work of an impudent prostitute;

10For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my loving kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed, says Yahweh who has mercy on you.
16For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!' says Yahweh of Hosts. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don't deal treacherously.
20I will even betroth you to me in faithfulness; And you shall know Yahweh.
17Therefore thus says Yahweh: 'Your wife shall be a prostitute in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided by line; and you yourself shall die in a land that is unclean, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.'"
