3 Why have we fasted, [say they], and you don't see? [why] have we afflicted our soul, and you take no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast you find [your own] pleasure, and exact all your labors.

10 and if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul: then shall your light rise in darkness, and your obscurity be as the noonday;

8 but you shall surely open your hand to him, and shall surely lend him sufficient for his need [in that] which he wants.
10 Don't oppress the widow, nor the fatherless, the foreigner, nor the poor; and let none of you devise evil against his brother in your heart.'
16 He judged the cause of the poor and needy; then it was well. Wasn't this to know me? says Yahweh.

3 Thus says Yahweh: Execute you justice and righteousness, and deliver him who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence, to the foreigner, the fatherless, nor the widow; neither shed innocent blood in this place.
18 He does execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the foreigner, in giving him food and clothing.
7 They lie all night naked without clothing, And have no covering in the cold.
