18we not looking to the things seen, but to the things not seen; for the things seen `are' temporary, but the things not seen `are' age-during.

8because now we live, if ye may stand fast in the Lord;
1Because of this, having this ministration, according as we did receive kindness, we do not faint,

37but in all these we more than conquer, through him who loved us;
9as unknown, and recognized; as dying, and lo, we live; as chastened, and not put to death;
10as sorrowful, and always rejoicing; as poor, and making many rich; as having nothing, and possessing all things.
4so that we ourselves do glory in you in the assemblies of God, for your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye bear;
3that no one be moved in these tribulations, for yourselves have known that for this we are set,
4for even when we were with you, we said to you beforehand, that we are about to suffer tribulation, as also it did come to pass, and ye have known `it';
3And not only `so', but we also boast in the tribulations, knowing that the tribulation doth work endurance;
6having courage, then, at all times, and knowing that being at home in the body, we are away from home from the Lord, --
7for through faith we walk, not through sight --
8we have courage, and are well pleased rather to be away from the home of the body, and to be at home with the Lord.
13for whether we were beside ourselves, `it was' to God; whether we be of sound mind -- `it is' to you,
2but having both suffered before, and having been injuriously treated (as ye have known) in Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the good news of God in much conflict,
6in which ye are glad, a little now, if it be necessary, being made to sorrow in manifold trials,
4but as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the good news, so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God, who is proving our hearts,
12Beloved, think it not strange at the fiery suffering among you that is coming to try you, as if a strange thing were happening to you,
28and not terrified in anything by those opposing, which to them indeed is a token of destruction, and to you of salvation, and that from God;
8therefore thou mayest not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but do thou suffer evil along with the good news according to the power of God,
5For our neck we have been pursued, We have laboured -- there hath been no rest for us.
9not because we have not authority, but that ourselves a pattern we might give to you, to imitate us;
24not that we are lords over your faith, but we are workers together with your joy, for by the faith ye stand.
4and such trust we have through the Christ toward God,
9in which I suffer evil -- unto bonds, as an evil-doer, but the word of God hath not been bound;
