22for it hath been written, that Abraham had two sons, one by the maid-servant, and one by the free-woman,
23but he who `is' of the maid-servant, according to flesh hath been, and he who `is' of the free-woman, through the promise;
24which things are allegorized, for these are the two covenants: one, indeed, from mount Sinai, to servitude bringing forth, which is Hagar;

1In the freedom, then, with which Christ did make you free -- stand ye, and be not held fast again by a yoke of servitude;
5for when we were in the flesh, the passions of the sins, that `are' through the law, were working in our members, to bear fruit to the death;
6and now we have ceased from the law, that being dead in which we were held, so that we may serve in newness of spirit, and not in oldness of letter.

19my little children, of whom again I travail in birth, till Christ may be formed in you,

1And I, brethren, was not able to speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly -- as to babes in Christ;
2with milk I fed you, and not with meat, for ye were not yet able, but not even yet are ye now able,
14for we have known that the law is spiritual, and I am fleshly, sold by the sin;
7in which also ye -- ye did walk once, when ye lived in them;
7But we became gentle in your midst, as a nurse may cherish her own children,
15for ye did not receive a spirit of bondage again for fear, but ye did receive a spirit of adoption in which we cry, `Abba -- Father.'
20Brethren, become not children in the understanding, but in the evil be ye babes, and in the understanding become ye perfect;
13who did rescue us out of the authority of the darkness, and did translate `us' into the reign of the Son of His love,
3for sufficient to us `is' the past time of life the will of the nations to have wrought, having walked in lasciviousnesses, desires, excesses of wines, revelings, drinking-bouts, and unlawful idolatries,
18and if by the Spirit ye are led, ye are not under law.
