20And if what I do not will, this I do, it is no longer I that work it, but the sin that is dwelling in me.
21I find, then, the law, that when I desire to do what is right, with me the evil is present,

23and I behold another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of the sin that `is' in my members.
5Do ye think that emptily the Writing saith, `To envy earnestly desireth the spirit that did dwell in us,'
8because he who is sowing to his own flesh, of the flesh shall reap corruption; and he who is sowing to the Spirit, of the Spirit shall reap life age-during;
12Let not then the sin reign in your mortal body, to obey it in its desires;
13For ye -- to freedom ye were called, brethren, only not the freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through the love serve ye one another,
16because all that `is' in the world -- the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the ostentation of the life -- is not of the Father, but of the world,
2no more in the desires of men, but in the will of God, to live the rest of the time in the flesh;
3for walking in the flesh, not according to the flesh do we war,
1Whence `are' wars and fightings among you? not thence -- out of your passions, that are as soldiers in your members?
2ye desire, and ye have not; ye murder, and are zealous, and are not able to attain; ye fight and war, and ye have not, because of your not asking;
3ye ask, and ye receive not, because evilly ye ask, that in your pleasures ye may spend `it'.
15afterward the desire having conceived, doth give birth to sin, and the sin having been perfected, doth bring forth death.
5Put to death, then, your members that `are' upon the earth -- whoredom, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and the covetousness, which is idolatry --
13for neither do those circumcised themselves keep the law, but they wish you to be circumcised, that in your flesh they may glory.
7What, then, shall we say? the law `is' sin? let it not be! but the sin I did not know except through law, for also the covetousness I had not known if the law had not said:
41watch, and pray, that ye may not enter into temptation: the spirit indeed is forward, but the flesh weak.'
9for the fruit of the Spirit `is' in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth,
5not in the affection of desire, as also the nations that were not knowing God,
6that which hath been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which hath been born of the Spirit is spirit.
