18 for I have known that there doth not dwell in me, that is, in my flesh, good: for to will is present with me, and to work that which is right I do not find,

20 And if what I do not will, this I do, it is no longer I that work it, but the sin that is dwelling in me.
21 I find, then, the law, that when I desire to do what is right, with me the evil is present,
14 but put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and for the flesh take no forethought -- for desires.
23 and I behold another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of the sin that `is' in my members.
5 Do ye think that emptily the Writing saith, `To envy earnestly desireth the spirit that did dwell in us,'
8 because he who is sowing to his own flesh, of the flesh shall reap corruption; and he who is sowing to the Spirit, of the Spirit shall reap life age-during;
12 Let not then the sin reign in your mortal body, to obey it in its desires;
13 For ye -- to freedom ye were called, brethren, only not the freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through the love serve ye one another,
16 because all that `is' in the world -- the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the ostentation of the life -- is not of the Father, but of the world,
2 no more in the desires of men, but in the will of God, to live the rest of the time in the flesh;
3 for walking in the flesh, not according to the flesh do we war,
1 Whence `are' wars and fightings among you? not thence -- out of your passions, that are as soldiers in your members?
2 ye desire, and ye have not; ye murder, and are zealous, and are not able to attain; ye fight and war, and ye have not, because of your not asking;
3 ye ask, and ye receive not, because evilly ye ask, that in your pleasures ye may spend `it'.
15 afterward the desire having conceived, doth give birth to sin, and the sin having been perfected, doth bring forth death.
5 Put to death, then, your members that `are' upon the earth -- whoredom, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and the covetousness, which is idolatry --
13 for neither do those circumcised themselves keep the law, but they wish you to be circumcised, that in your flesh they may glory.
7 What, then, shall we say? the law `is' sin? let it not be! but the sin I did not know except through law, for also the covetousness I had not known if the law had not said:
41 watch, and pray, that ye may not enter into temptation: the spirit indeed is forward, but the flesh weak.'
9 for the fruit of the Spirit `is' in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth,
5 not in the affection of desire, as also the nations that were not knowing God,
6 that which hath been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which hath been born of the Spirit is spirit.
